Blush Beauty
When it comes to evoking a sense of romance and playfulness, it’s hard to overlook blush hues. I might be biased, it is my favorite color after all, but I just love playing with blush florals to create romantic scenes.
Once a thing of the 80s, blush has made a major comeback, not just in the wedding floral space but also in beauty brands, interior designers and destination florists. Blush has had a makeover and is back, better than ever.
I wanted to integrate romantic garden style florals with moments of minimalism and delicacy. To achieve this I went for less greenery and foliage in favor of more delicate florals, giving the arrangements a more romantic, ethereal feel.
I played with delicate, feminine flowers such as sweet peas and ranunculus that floated and danced above more weighty flowers, adding a touch of cheerfulness and drama. The installation piece provided a fairy tale element with clouds of baby’s breath punctuated with sweet peas of different toned blush.
The talented Savanna from Clarity Lane, with her light and airy aesthetic, perfectly captured my vision, along with all the other vendors that came together to create the perfect blush wedding theme.
